As per Advt. No. CE-03/2026, BHEL has announced a vacancy for one Consultant (Corporate Law) at its Corporate Office. The position will be based in New Delhi/Noida, and the selected candidate will report directly to the Executive Director (Corporate HR).

The engagement will initially be for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to one year at a time, depending on project requirements. However, the overall tenure will not exceed five years or 65 years of age, whichever comes earlier.
Job Responsibilities for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Recruitment 2026 for Consultant in Corporate Law
The Consultant will provide professional legal advice and support to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Corporate Office in the following areas:
- Strategy development and execution for high-value arbitration matters
- Conducting contractual risk audits
- Reviewing and vetting major tenders, agreements, and MoUs
- Providing legal support and expert opinions
- Assisting in company policy formulation
- Handling legal aspects related to human resource matters
- Managing additional legal assignments as required
Eligibility Criteria for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Recruitment 2026 for Consultant in Corporate Law
Who Can Apply:
Retired executives (equivalent to E7 grade or above – AGM level) from PSUs, autonomous bodies, or central/state government organizations.
Age Limit (as on 01 April 2026):
- Maximum age: 64 years
- Candidates who took VRS are eligible only after attaining 60 years
- Ex-servicemen may receive age relaxation, but total tenure will still be limited to 5 years or 65 years of age
Educational Qualification:
- Mandatory: LL.B degree
Experience Requirements:
- Essential:
- Minimum 30 years of overall experience
- At least 20 years post-LL.B experience in:
- Contract management
- Arbitration (domestic & international)
- Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC) matters
- High-value commercial dispute resolution
- Desirable:
- MBA (any specialization)
- Strong knowledge of HR-related legal matters, policy interpretation, and regulatory frameworks
Selection Process

- Air: Economy Class
- Road: Actual expenses (limited to train fare)
Remuneration & Benefits
- Monthly Fee: ₹1,05,000 (consolidated)
- Additional benefits include:
- Mobile reimbursement up to ₹2,000
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable
- Transport allowance as per policy
- TA/DA for official travel as per rules

- Applicants bound by confidentiality agreements with previous employers are not eligible
- Selected candidates must sign a Confidentiality-cum-Non-Disclosure Agreement with BHEL
