Eligibility Criteria for IET India Scholarship Award 2026 Apply Now

 

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

• Must be enrolled in any year of a full-time undergraduate engineering programme (any discipline) approved by the All India Council for Technical Education or the University Grants Commission.
• Should have cleared all subjects in a single attempt without any backlogs.
• Must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) in completed semesters.
• There is no age restriction for applicants.
• Open to both members and non-members of the Institution of Engineering and Technology across all recognised engineering branches.
• Students admitted through lateral entry into the second year of a B.Tech programme are also eligible.

Regional Round

The selection process will take place across five regional hubs: Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

• Regional Winner: ₹1,00,000 along with a trophy, certificate, and one-year IET membership.
• Regional Runner-up: ₹75,000 along with a trophy, certificate, and one-year IET membership.
• All participants in the regional round will receive a goodie bag worth ₹2,000.

National Finals

Top performers from the regional rounds will move on to the national-level competition.

• National Winner: ₹6,00,000 along with a trophy, certificate, and one-year IET membership.
• First Runner-up: ₹3,00,000 along with a trophy, certificate, and one-year IET membership.
• Second Runner-up: ₹2,00,000 along with a trophy, certificate, and one-year IET membership.

Note: Candidates qualifying at both regional and national levels will receive certificates for both stages; however, the prize money will be awarded only at the national level.
