Introduction: UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University Courses, Allahabad is an open university which was established under the Act No. 10/1999 passed by UP state Legislature and assented to by the Governor of U.P. on March 24, 1999. The university was named after the very famous Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon Ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. The main objective of the university is to provide access to higher education to the most needy and disadvantaged section of the society which is living in the remote areas of the state and also to those who bread runners of the family and cannot gain regular education due to work engagements.

The idea to create university was also to cater to the homemaker’s adults and knowledge seekers who want to upgrade their education for the modern times. UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University Courses Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passes 10+2 from a recognized board for admission in undergraduate courses like BA, BSc, BCom, and BBA, those who pass the minimum eligibility criteria can only take admission in the university.
For science admission students should have completed their 12th grade coursework with 40 to 45 percent of their marks in biology, physics, and chemistry subjects.
To be eligible for an MA, students must have completed their undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% in any discipline or the equivalent (Master of Arts).

To get Admission to any of the UG, Certificate course, or diploma courses that the university offers, the students must have qualified class 12th from any board of education
For PG courses the applicants must have done graduation in the relevant subjects.
The Student should be Indian Citizen.
The minimum age is 17 years on or before 31st December 2018.
The student should have passed 12th with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology or Life Sciences related.
