MAHATRANSCO Recruitment 2025 for Advisor Position, The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO) stands as a cornerstone in Maharashtra’s power sector, playing a critical role in ensuring the seamless transmission of electricity from generation points to distribution networks across the state. Incorporated in June 2005 under the Companies Act, MAHATRANSCO emerged as a result of the restructuring of the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB). Today, it operates as a wholly owned corporate entity of the Government of Maharashtra, entrusted with maintaining and developing the state’s Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission network.

Proficient in industry standard design software (e.g. AutoCAD, LS-CADD, ETAP, PLS-Tower). In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g. IEEE, IEC, CEA). Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. |
BE (Electrical Engineering) with more than 20 years’ experience and worked with Transmission utility with at least 5 years’ experience at senior level in the organization.

| Experience | Experience and full hand knowledge of design and Engineering, development of high voltage transmission lines (from 132 kV upto 765 kV) with both AC and DC transmission system.
Preparation of Detailed Engineering Drawings, Approval drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings. Foundation design and construction drawings suitable for different soil strata. Preparation of detailed engineering designs, including route selection, structure design and material specifications. Perform mechanical and electrical calculations for line design, electrical clearances and conductor selection & OPGW. Preparation of sag-tension charts for all conductor and earth wire combinations, considering temperature, wind zone, and loading conditions as per IS/IEC standards. Preparation of tower design and checking structural safety of various tower types including suspension, tension, transposition, and special towers. Tower scheduling with optimized tower locations to minimize cost and structural complexity. Knowledge of environmental and regulatory requirements related to transmission line projects. Review of preliminary & Detail survey reports and suggesting route alignment improvements. Finalization of optimized transmission line routing considering clearances, terrain, and right-of-way issues Familiarity with GIS and other mapping tools for route selection and design. Support for design review and approval from authority or third-party agencies ensuring all designs conform to applicable Indian/IEC standards, CEA guidelines, and statutory norms. Finalization of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), specifications, and material lists for procurement and construction. |
Preparation of Schedule of Rates (SoR) of all items of transmission lines and substation of all voltage i.e. 33kv to 765kV) and is prepared on quarterly basis for RTM projects.
Preparation of separate Schedule of Rates (SoR) specifically for TBCB projects. New method of costing for EHV Transformer and Reactor ( Based on contribution of raw materials components) Analysis of EIRR and FIRR for all high voltage level transmission projects. (i.e. Viability analysis) · Sensitivity analyses for projects with different combination of interest, debt-equity ratio etc. Price updation to various price level of various items of transmission system using applicable statutory indices Price and market trend analysis for conductor, reinforcement steel, tower steel and other major items of transmission projects. Experience in financial bid evaluation and internal cost benchmarking. TBCB project cost optimization based on the latest previous project awarded cost.

Experience of various issues of land acquisition for substations viz. acquisition of Govt./Pvt. Land, leased land, MIDC land etc., tenancies, various laws & legal issues on the subject matters.
Experience of handling land matters of MMR Navi Mumbai and Thane. Co-ordinate and monitoring of completion of stuck up/ work in progress /upcoming projects of EHV Substations along with associated lines & link lines in the State. Knowledge of resolving severe RoW issues while constructing of the projects of various Transmission in the state. · Coordinating with revenue authorities for RoW Corridor measuring while constructing of the projects of various Transmission in the state. Coordinating with railways/ NHSRCL/ DFCCIL/ NHAI/ Private Industrial consumers like data centers along with shifting of line works under ORC in the state. To deal with large number of stake holders viz. CIDCO, MMRDA, PMRDA, Railways, NHAI, Expressways, farmers, other electrical utilities etc. To coordinate and liasoning with various department /section at Revenue Division / District / Sub- Divisional / Taluka level offices. To co-ordinate with the District Superintendent of Police to avail the police protection where the concern District Collector has issued the order under clause 16 (i) of Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. To co-ordinate for Police Protection issues affecting the project for construction of EHV lines.

Compensation
The selected candidate will be eligible for monthly compensation of One Lakh to maximum Two Lakhs depending upon nature of experience and Competency. However, compensation and benefit shall not be constraint for deserving candidates.
