Scholarship Coverage

(KTH India Scholarship 2025-26 Win Tuition Fee Application Open)

The KTH India Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support to selected students. It covers the full tuition fee for both the first and second year of the Master’s programme, subject to satisfactory academic performance during the first year. In addition, scholars receive a monthly living allowance for the academic year (10 months), helping to meet day-to-day expenses while studying in Sweden.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

Be a fee-paying student who has applied to a Master’s programme at KTH as their first priority and paid the required application fee
Note that scholarships are not considered for programmes listed as second, third, or fourth priority
Be an Indian citizen who has completed their undergraduate degree in India
Hold conditional eligibility, which is also acceptable

Please note that the scholarship is not available for applicants to joint Master’s programmes or programmes with mandatory exchange components, such as the Master’s programme in Railway Engineering.

Selection process

The scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of academic excellence. Only applicants who fulfil the admission requirements of the programme applied for are eligible for a scholarship. After the applicants have been assessed for admission, an assessment of applicants for the scholarship is made based on the following criteria:

The applicant’s grades (GPA or equivalent)
The ranking of the university that awarded the applicant’s bachelor’s degree
The applicant’s motivation, relevant work experience and extra-curricular activities

Applicants from Mumbai Metropolitan Area and Pune will be prioritized according to the foundation’s statutes. Please note that Indian citizens are eligible to apply for both the KTH India Scholarship and the KTH Scholarship.
