The Computer Based Test (CBT) is expected to be conducted in the last week of January 2026, with the exact schedule to be announced separately.

Mode of Recruitment

The selection process will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, candidates will appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT). Those who qualify will be shortlisted for the Skill / Proficiency / Physical Test (SPPT), as applicable to the post.

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

The CBT will be conducted in online mode and will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. The test is designed to evaluate candidates’ subject knowledge, numerical ability, and general awareness.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted for a duration of 120 minutes. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The question paper will be available only in English and Hindi. To qualify for the next stage, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the CBT. A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is applicable for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies.

Stage 2: Skill / Proficiency / Physical Test (SPPT)

The Skill / Proficiency / Physical Test will be conducted to evaluate practical skills, job-related proficiency, and physical standards, wherever required. The SPPT will be qualifying in nature. Only candidates who clear the SPPT and whose documents are found to be in order during document verification will be considered for the preparation of the final merit list.

Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared refinery-wise and discipline-wise, based on the descending order of marks obtained in the CBT. Only candidates who qualify the SPPT and fulfill all eligibility criteria after document verification will be included. In the event of a tie in CBT scores, the older candidate will be ranked higher in the merit list.
