Abdul Kalam Scholarship 2024–25, instituted by Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, is a distinguished financial assistance program aimed at supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship is available to students enrolled in full-time, regular undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at the university.
Under this scheme, eligible and selected students are granted a fee reimbursement of ₹10,000 per academic year, helping to ease their financial burden and encourage continuity in higher education.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Indian citizen
- Be a bonafide student of Jamia Millia Islamia, enrolled in a full-time, regular undergraduate or postgraduate course
- Maintain a minimum of 75% attendance
- Have successfully passed Class 12 (for undergraduate applicants) or an undergraduate degree (for postgraduate applicants)
- Belong to an economically weaker section, with annual family income not exceeding ₹2,00,000
- Demonstrate good conduct and satisfactory academic performance
Important Notes:
- The scholarship is not applicable to students enrolled in self-financed courses.
- Female students are given preference, with at least 50% of the total scholarships reserved for them.
- Students receiving this scholarship may also avail financial assistance from other sources; however, they must immediately inform the Dean, Students’ Welfare if such support is received.
- No student is permitted to receive more than one scholarship from Jamia Millia Islamia.

- Death certificate of father/mother (if applicable)
- Mark sheet of the last examination passed (2023–24)
- Bank account details (Account holder name, Account number, IFSC code)

Terms and Conditions
