The University of Kerala was formerly known as the University of Travancore, the university was established in the year 1937. Kerala University Distance Education Courses Selection Criteria
- Candidates need to pass the 10+2 examination from a recognized Board for taking admission in any stream of UG.
- For admission to BSC in Computer Science and Mathematics, candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board. Mathematics must be one of the optional subjects.
- Candidates who possess a 3-year Diploma in engineering subjects approved by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, are eligible for the above course.
- Candidates who want to take admission in Postgraduate courses should have at least a graduation degree with a minimum of 45% marks in the related subject required for a master’s degree.
- Students eager to take admission in M.Sc in Computer Science and Mathematics; must have a degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a B.Sc. (Vocational) degree. Mathematics should be one of the subjects at the graduation level.
- Admission for distance education Programs Prospectus can be easily obtained from the office of the School of Distance Education after Payment of Rs.250/- by Friends/DD (SBI)/University Cash Challan Receipt.
- The receipt number and counterfoil provided while online registration should be retained.
- Candidates who are residing in a foreign country will have to submit a DD of INR 265/- in addition. Each Bank Draft amount should carry an additional amount of Rs.10/- for service charge. Admission notifications are usually issued in leading national and regional dailies.
