Introduction: Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Distance Education Courses is a university down south in Hyderabad, Telangana. The university was established in the year 1985 and is duly recognized by university grants commission UGC, it is also accredited through NAAC as an autonomous institute with a ‘B’ Grade. The university is has sixteen departments, seven schools, and five centers.
Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Distance Education Courses has also been authorized by the Indira Gandhi National Open University in May 2010 plus the DDE is also backed by the Distance Education Council (DEC). The university is well known to offer postgraduate study in Astrology, other than this, the university also offers programs like language, performing arts, literature, journalism, certificate and diploma courses. The varsity DDE program also offers mainstream undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well.

- Application form is available for download on the University’s official website.
- Candidate can download the admissions application form from the Admissions page.
- Candidates must verify the qualifying conditions for the course before filling out the application form.
- Fill out all important information, including academic and educational information.
- Upload all essential documentation.
- Applicants can only apply for the entrance exam (PSTUCET) online.
- Submit the application form
- Applicants must print a copy of the application form, reference number, and transaction ID for future use.
- The application form can be obtained from the Director, Centre for Distance Education, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Public Gardens, Hyderabad – 500004, A.P. on payment of Rs. 300/- and Rs. 400/- By Post through crossed Demand Draft, drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University” from any nationalized bank, payable at Hyderabad.
- Payment in the form of cash, cheques, Postal Orders or Money Orders is not accepted.
- Candidates can submit the application form online through the payment of the crossed D.D for Rs.300/-drawn in favor of The Registrar, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, along with the course fee D.D of the respective course.
Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Distance Education Courses Eligibility Criteria
- For undergraduate students, the University provides a BFA degree, nine diploma specialisations, and eight certification programmes. The fundamental criteria for all of these are 10+2.
- Telugu University provides six specialisations under MA, four specialisations under MPA, and MCJ courses for which degree is required.
- The University also provides postgraduate degrees, including 8 specialisations under Ph.D and 11 PG Diploma programmes.
- Admission in courses is done in accordance with the University’s norms and regulations.
- Admissions in different undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are dependent on the PSTUCET entrance examination, which is administered by the University.
- The selection for Ph.D. is based on the University’s admission test, merit, and interview.
- Candidates who have passed the JRF are excused from taking the Ph.D. admission exams.
| M.A. Astrology: Candidate should hold any graduate or its equivalent degree from a recognized University with an aptitude in astrology. |
| M.A. Telugu: Candidate should hold any graduate with Telugu as a second language or as an optional or its equivalent degree in Oriental Learning or Degree with Telugu medium or Telugu as a subject up to S.S.C with 60 per cent marks in Telugu Subject. Degree students who do not have the above qualifications should get through an eligibility test by payment of Rs.750/- DD. |

| Sangeeta Visarada: Candidate must have completed 12 years age at the time of admission. Candidates who have successfully completed Kalpravesika (evening course) in Carnatic Music, conducted by the Music Dept., PSTU are eligible for direct admission into II Year. |
| Certificate Course in Modern Telugu: Candidate should have passed SSC or its equivalent. |
