Eligibility for University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship 2026
Deadline: 02 April 2026
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an Indian student and hold a passport issued by the Government of India.
- Be residing outside New Zealand at the time of application.
- Be one of the following:
- A new student with a conditional or unconditional offer of admission, or
- An English Language Academy (ELA) student with a conditional or unconditional offer, or
- A student enrolled in, or intending to enroll in, the Summer Start International Programme, with a conditional or unconditional offer of admission.
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in:
- A Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) or master’s program, or
- An undergraduate degree, applying with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications, or
- A University of Auckland program.

Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of up to NZD 20,000 toward their tuition fees.
Selection Criteria for University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship 2026
Candidates will be assessed on the basis of:

- Strength of the referee’s endorsement
- Relevance of the proposed program of study to the University’s strategic priorities
The scholarship recipients will be chosen by the University of Auckland Council, following the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Engagement) or their nominee, the Director of the International Office or their nominee, and two Faculty Associate Deans (International).
