AIAHL Medical Officer Job Description
The selected Medical Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing various medical-related activities concerning retired Air India employees and employees of AIAHL. Key responsibilities include:
Verifying medical claims related to various tests and procedures conducted by empanelled hospitals.
Scrutinising and forwarding verified claims to the Finance Department for payment to hospitals and beneficiaries under the medical scheme.
Resolving medical queries, discrepancies and concerns raised by retired employees through personal interaction and email.
Coordinating and liaising with UTIITSL, CGHS and empanelled hospitals, including matters related to hospital empanelment.
Providing medical consultations to employees of AIAHL.
Handling special and unlisted treatment procedures with CGHS and obtaining necessary approvals.
Coordinating with hospitals regarding admission-related queries and cases involving prolonged hospitalisation.
Addressing other medical matters related to Air India retired employees and AIAHL employees.
Performing any other duties assigned by the management in relation to medical services.
AIAHL Medical Officer Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a Personal Interview. Candidates who prima facie meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may be shortlisted and called for the interview.
However, merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted or called for an interview.

Tenure of Employment
The selected candidate will be appointed on a Fixed Term Employment Contract for a period of one year.
The tenure of the contract may be extended or curtailed depending on the requirements of AIAHL. The management also reserves the right to terminate the contract during the tenure in case of unsatisfactory performance or as per organisational requirements.
