Introduction: Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University Distance Education Courses is e one of the most popular university in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It is also the largest and oldest institutions of higher education which founded in 1964, the name of the university was kept after the fist chief minister of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh. The university is thriving in the sprawling campus in the western part of the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur. To be precise the campus of the university is spread across 300.17 acres of land. The university upholds Twenty Nine teaching departments in the university and a variety of self financed courses have been introduced in some of the departments.
The university offers a wide variety of courses through both regular and distance mode and programs like undergraduate and postgraduate are offered in many disciplines like science, arts, commerce and technology, however, it includes certificate, Diploma and Doctorate level programs.

The admission criterion of PRSU is based on merit list and in some programs admission is given on the basis of entrance exam. The university has also given its affiliation to an approximate number of 261 affiliated colleges and the institute is has great service network which can guide students to research promotion cell, ST/C and Minority Cell.
