Application Open for The Mohan T Advani Centennial Scholarship Programme 2025, it aims to transform the lives of underprivileged students seeking financial assistance for their undergraduate and diploma courses in the fields of engineering and architecture. Under this programme, eligible first and second year students at select private and government colleges in India can receive a scholarship to support their educational pursuits. The programme supports a growing community of more than 400 students.

The Blue Star Foundation, established in 1982, is the philanthropic arm of Blue Star Limited, India’s leading air conditioning and commercial refrigeration company. The Blue Star Foundation works extensively in the thematic areas of education, health and poverty alleviation. Its flagship initiative is the Mohan T Advani Centennial Scholarship programme.

Eligibility Criteria (Application Open for The Mohan T Advani Centennial Scholarship Programme 2025)

For Engineering and Architecture Students

Eligibility

First and second-year students enrolled in a degree program in architecture or engineering, such as Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), and related STEM fields, excluding Civil Engineering.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a good academic track record.
  • Minimum marks in previous years:
  • 80% marks in Class 10 and Class 12 for first-year students.
  • 80% marks in Class 12 and 75% marks in the 1st year for second-year students.
  • Encouraging girls’ education with a target of 50% female representation.
  • Students enrolled in specified colleges approved by Blue Star Foundation will be eligible to apply.
  • Applicants’ annual family income from all sources must be less than INR 6 lakh. (except in West zone colleges, where, in case there is a need, this can be raised to INR 10 lakh)
  • Children of Buddy4Study, Blue Star and Blue Star Foundation employees are not eligible.
  • NOTE: The list of colleges may be revised by the scholarship provider.

Benefits

INR 1,00,000 or 75% of the annual fees (whichever is less)

NOTE:

  • Scholarship funds are directly disbursed to the educational institutions where the recipients are enrolled.
  • The scholarship amount will be determined based on actual academic fee charged by the college.
  • The scholarship covers 100% of educational expenses, including academic fees (tuition fee, admission fee, exam fee). However, it does not cover other expenses like living (hostel fee, mess fee, etc.) or devices (laptop, mobile, equipment, etc.), books, etc.
  • 90% of scholarships will be given students from Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, 10% to others excluding Civil.

Documents

  • Proof of admission (Admission letter/Institution ID Card, etc.) for enrollment in degree or diploma programs in architecture or engineering courses.
  • Payment receipts/Demand draft for educational expenses from colleges.
  • Mark sheets of the previous two classes/semesters/years (whichever is applicable).

Proof of family income (any one of the following documents):

  • Income Tax Return Statement
  • Salary Slip
  • Form 16 (if salaried)
  • BPL/Ration Card
  • Income proof certificate signed by the concerned government authority
  • Certificate from the concerned authorities for individuals with income from agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary sources
  • Affidavit for orphans/single-parent children (where the family lost the earning member)
  • Proof of identity/address (Aadhaar Card, Voter’s ID Card, Driving License, etc.).
  • Passport-size photograph.

 

For Diploma Students

Eligibility

First and second-year students enrolled in a diploma program in architecture or engineering,( Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Electronics Engineering and production Engineering, excluding Civil Engineering.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a good academic track record.
  • Minimum marks in previous years:
  • 70% marks in Class 10 or Class 12th and 75% marks (7.5 CGPA) in the 1st year for second-year students (for diploma).
  • Encouraging girls’ education with a target of 50% female representation.
  • Students enrolled in the specified colleges approved by Blue Star Foundation will be eligible to apply.
  • Applicants’ annual family income from all sources must be less than INR 6 lakh. (except in West zone colleges, where, in case there is a need, this can be raised to INR 10 lakh).
  • Children of Buddy4Study, Blue Star and Blue Star Foundation employees are not eligible.
