Kochi Water Metro Recruitment 2025 for Boat Operations Trainee Total 50 Vacancies, (KWML), a State Public Sector Undertaking, has established an integrated and modern water transport system to connect the Kochi mainland with the various islands across the lagoon. This initiative is aimed at enhancing accessibility, improving daily commute options, and supporting the overall socio-economic development of the region. In this regard, Kochi Water Metro Ltd. invites applications for 50 posts of Boat Operations Trainee, offering an opportunity for eligible candidates to be part of a transformative and community-oriented transport project.

Qualification Required
Minimum 60% marks in ITI (Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, AC Mechanic and Diesel Mechanic) Last 3 years pass out only (ie, 2022 ,2023,2024).
Or
Minimum 60% marks in Diploma in (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics) Last 3 years pass out only (ie,2022 ,2023,2024).
GPR License Certificate. (In the absence of GPR qualified candidates, others will also be considered however they will be paid reduced stipend of Rs.7000/month and upon obtaining GPR certificate, they will be paid full stipend of Rs.9000/month as notified).
After completion of one year training those holding GPR certificate will also be qualified for Advanced training for further 2 years (only for GPR license holder).

Freshers
Area of Training
Overall training in Boat Operations, Maintenance and Terminal operations like: –
Familiarization of IV rules and vessel Communication
Experience in inland waters of Kochi including port units.
Assist the Boat crew in ensuring smooth operations of Boats/ Vessels.
To assist in sailing, Safe navigation/ working practices of the boat/vessel
Proper mooring of the vessel/ safe embarking/ disembarking of passengers while coming on to the jetties.
Maintenance and up keep of vessel including cleaning and adhere to operators Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Proper fueling/ charging of battery charged, and manage supplies, as needed.
Guidance for higher certification in IV.
Firefighting and emergency rescue boat operations
Terminal operations, Ticketing
Customer facilitation and crowd handling
Passenger Management & safety Procedures.
Terminal maintenance including AC, electrical & mechanical
Assisting in ITMS & OCC activities.
