Cochin Shipyard Limited Recruitment 2026 for Executive Trainee Educational Qualification:

B.Tech /M.Tech /M.Sc Degree from a recognised university in any of the following disciplines:

  1. a) Environmental Engineering or
  2. b) Environmental Science & Technology or
  3. c) Environmental Engineering & Management or
  4. d) Climate Science.

  • The minimum educational qualification must be obtained from a University, Institute, or Examination Board recognized by AICTE, an appropriate statutory authority, or the relevant State/Central Government.
  • Candidates with qualifications deemed equivalent to the prescribed ones must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. Applications without this certificate will not be considered.
  • Applicants are required to specify their exact percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination in the online application.

Method of Selection

The selection process consists of two phases:

Phase-I: Objective Type Test (60 marks)

Duration: 60 minutes

Format: 60 multiple-choice questions

Subjects: 

  • General Awareness (5 marks)
  • English Language (5 marks)
  • Numerical Ability (5 marks)
  • Reasoning Ability (5 marks)
  • Subject-Based (40 marks)
  • Each question carries 1 mark; no negative marking.
  • Minimum passing marks: 50% of total (30 marks).
  • Phase-II: Group Discussion, Writing Skills, and Personal Interview (40 marks)
  • Candidates qualifying Phase-I will be shortlisted for certificate verification.

The final selection will be based on combined scores from both phases, with the following weightage:

Objective Test: 60 marks

Group Discussion: 10 marks

Writing Skills: 10 marks

Personal Interview: 20 marks

Total: 100 marks.

  • The selection tests may be conducted at CSL, Kochi, or another location in Kochi/Kerala.
  • The list of candidates for Phase-II will be prepared based on their performance in Phase-I, with a minimum of 6 candidates per vacancy.
  • Only those who pass certificate verification will participate in Phase-II.
  • In case of fewer candidates, all eligible candidates will be called for Phase-II.
  • Final ranking will be based on total marks; in case of a tie, discipline test scores and age seniority will be considered.

  • Selected candidates will need to sign a Service Agreement to serve CSL for at least three years after successful training.
  • During training and the service period, outside employment requests will not be entertained, and No Objection Certificates will not be issued.

  • The fee of ₹750 (non-refundable, plus bank charges) must be paid via online payment options (Debit/Credit Card/Internet Banking) from 24 July 2026 to 10 August 2026.
  • No other payment modes are accepted.
