Introduction: JEE main exam 2021 has been announced and interested candidates should initiate the registration and application form filling process for the JEE main exam 2021.

The JEE main exam 2021 is popularly known as the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) main, this entrance exam which is scheduled for the month of January 2021 and April 2021. The entrance exam will be conducted in online CBT mode. The MHRD, Government of India has established National Testing Agency (NTA) to organize and conduct the whole process of JEE main exam 2021.

JEE main exam is very famous among enthusiast who seek admission in engineering undergraduate programs offered by various prestigious institutes like IIT, CFTI, NIT and other colleges across India interested in the B.E and B. Tech courses have to sit for JEE Main Paper I and for students who are seeking admission into B. Arch and B. Plan programs will have to sit for JEE Main Paper II and III.

Aspiring students who wants to join premier institute like IIT shall have to qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced.  

New Guidelines by MHRD, Government of India for JEE Main exam 2021

  • Applicants are responsible to book the slot for online mode exam
  • There no requirement as such to verify class 12th roll number.
  • CBSE board has established 258 exam centers. Out of the total exam centers 248 are in India and rest 10 are in foreign country.
  • Top 224000 rank students for JEE Main eligible to appear for JEE Advanced entrance exam.
  • The inclusion of class 12th marks in calculating All India Rank for JEE main will not be taken into consideration.
  • For eligibility for IITs, IIITs, CFTIs, NITS the student should score 75% marks in 10+2 examination. This percentage is 65% for reserved categories.
  • Adhaar card is compulsory for everyone.
  • Applicants from Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam have relaxation for Adhaar Card. Appearing students coming for these regions must have a valid government ID proof such as ration card, voters ID or a valid passport) to sit in the examination in their own state.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Application Fee

The application fee for the JEE main exam can be now made through a variety of online mode like net banking/debit or credit card, UPI or PAYTM mode. Application fees shall not be taken through offline made so students make sure to pay the fee by above online methods only.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Application Form

The application process is the mentioned below but students are requested to please follow the guidelines mentioned in the official website.

  • Students will be able to register themselves for JEE Main through NTA website.
  • JEE Main 2021 Application process will get started from first week of September 2020 (January session) through online mode
  • For the April session, the registration will begin from first week of February 2021.
  • Students are advised to register through valid e-mail id and phone number. Complete details will be sent to it by the authority.
  • One application must be submitted by single applicant. More than one application will get rejected by the authority.
  • The application process will contain various steps like Registration, Filling up of Application form, Image uploading, Application Fee payment and Printing of Application form.
  • Candidates will get an SMS/ mail on their registered mobile number or mail id regarding successful submission of form after completing the application process.
  • Post completion of application process, students are advised to print the application form and fee payment proof for any further use in future.
JEE Main Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria
  • The candidates who are born on or after 31st October 1995 are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2021 exam.
  • The students must have qualified the senior secondary examination with the best 5 subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • For B.E/B. Tech, the students should have passed the senior secondary examination with at least five subjects – Physics & Mathematics subjects as compulsory along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational as optional subjects.
  • For B.Arch, students must pass the senior secondary examination with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
  • For B.Plan,the candidate should have passed the 12th level with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • Though there is no provision for minimum marks obtained, the candidate must have scored at least the passing marks.
JEE Mains Exam 2021 Syllabus

JEE Syllabus 2021 for Paper I & Paper II

  • JEE Main will contain two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, respectively, but the syllabus for both the papers is different. For JEE Main paper-1, the student must be thorough with concepts of Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics as per the 11th and 12th standard syllabus of recognized boards like CBSE, ICSE, and others
  • For JEE Main Paper-2, the student must prepare subjects like Mathematics, Aptitude test as well as drawing.
  • The detailed syllabus is announced by CBSE, and candidates can download it from the site.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Exam Pattern

JEE Main paper 1 and paper 2 just have minor differences.

4 marks will be granted for the correct answer and there is negative marking of 1 marks for every wrong answer.

JEE Main exam Paper I (for B.E., B.Tech)

  • There will be a total of 90 questions, 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • The paper will be of 3 hours.
  • It will be an objective type question paper.
  • Students can give the paper either via offline mode or online mode.

JEE Main exam Paper II (for B. Arch, B. Planning)

Paper will consist of two parts

  • Part 1- 30 questions from mathematics
  • Part 2- 50 question from the Aptitude test
  • And 2 question in drawing
  • Only the drawing part will be subjective, but the rest of the paper will be objective type.
  • The paper will be of 3 hours.
  • The paper will be available in offline mode only.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Admit Card

The admit card of JEE Main 2021 for January session will be made available in the first week of December.  Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket by entering their login details. Also an intimation of admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered mail id/ phone number.

For the April session admit card, students will be able to download it online from the website in the third week of March 2021.

Any discrepancy found in the admit card should be reported to the authority on time before the exam.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Answer Key

Post the completion of the entrance exam National Testing Agency (NTA) will publish the answer key in the PDF format online. Provisional answer key will be available in last week of January 2021.

Challenges in the answer key should be submitted with fee and proof. If the challenges are found worthy then correct answer key shall be published.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Result

JEE Main 2021 Result will be declared online on the website in the last week of January 2021 (January session). The April session result will be announced in the last week of April 2021. Candidates will be able to know the results through entering their date of birth & roll number.

The scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by the student in the entrance test.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Scorecard

The performance of the candidate in the JEE main exam is reflected through the scorecard. This score card is important for the admission in the institutes.

The score card contains the details of the candidate such as All India Rank, marks obtained, category wise rank, qualifying status candidate’s name, roll number, category, parent’s name, state code of eligibility, etc.

JEE Mains Exam 2021 Rank List

The marks obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam will form the basis of the All India Rank and Category rank. Results will declared by the NTA soon after the exam in online mode.

Separate rank list may be prepared by the states to admit candidates in the engineering institutions affiliated to State universities.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Cut Off

For the sake of admission in the NITs, IITs, CFTIs and other popular institutions the student have to secure cut off marks. Apparently they also have to reach the cut off marks according to their categories to participate in the All India centralized counseling process.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Counseling

The JEE Main 2021 counseling will be organized around second week of June 2021 by JoSAA. As far as CSAB is concerned the counseling will get started around fourth week of July 2021.

Students have to fill the choices and counseling fee to initiate the counseling process.

Candidates who scored as per the cut off marks shall be shortlisted for the counseling session. Students will be allowed for counseling through online centralized process for which seat allotment shall be shown online which can be checked by the students with their login credentials.
