AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2026-27 Apply Now, The AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2026-27 is an initiative offered by the Government of India through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) for international students seeking to pursue courses in Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) at recognised institutions, universities, and colleges across India.
Under this scholarship programme, selected candidates can receive a monthly stipend of up to ₹43,500 along with additional benefits including airfare assistance and health insurance support to help manage their educational expenses during their studies in India.

Eligibility Criteria for AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2026-27 Apply Now
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of admission.
Candidates applying for Bachelor’s programmes in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Siddha Medicine and Surgery, Unani Medicine and Surgery, or Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery must have completed 12 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects.
Applicants seeking admission to B.Sc. Yoga or B.A. Yoga Shastra programmes must have successfully completed 12 years of schooling.
Candidates applying for Master’s programmes in Ayurveda, Siddha, or Unani should possess the relevant Bachelor’s degree recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).
Applicants for a Master’s degree in Homoeopathy must hold the relevant Bachelor’s degree recognised by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH).
Candidates applying for a Ph.D. in Ayurveda or Unani should possess the relevant Master’s degree recognised by CCIM.

Selected candidates will receive the following benefits under the scholarship programme:
Living Allowance
₹18,000 per month for undergraduate degree students
₹35,000 per month for first-year Master’s degree students
₹38,000 per month for second and third-year Master’s degree students
₹43,500 per month for Ph.D. scholars
Rent Allowance
Up to ₹6,500 per month in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai (on actual basis)
Up to ₹5,000 per month in other cities
Annual Contingent Grant
₹4,500 annually for undergraduate degree and diploma (Yoga) students
₹12,000 annually for Ph.D./MD/MS students
Thesis and Dissertation Support
₹10,000 for Ph.D. students
₹7,000 for MD/MS students (project submission mandatory)
Airfare Support
Economy class airfare twice during the course duration through the shortest and most economical route
Important Notes Regarding Airfare
Airfare support will be provided twice: once at the time of admission and once upon completion of the course.
The airfare will cover travel between the capital city of the applicant’s home country and the nearest airport to the allotted institution in India.
The respective Indian Mission will bear the airfare expense at the time of admission, while the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will provide airfare support at the time of graduation.

How to apply?
Eligible applicants can apply by following the steps given below:
Step 1: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button provided below.
Step 2: On the right-hand side of the dashboard, click the ‘Register’ button and complete the registration process by entering the required details. (Note: Applicants who are already registered can directly log in using their registered email ID.)
Step 3: After logging in, navigate to the top-right section of the page and click on ‘Registration’, then select the ‘Applicant Registration’ option.
Step 4: Enter all the required information and click on the ‘Submit’ button. (Note: Existing users can log in using their valid credentials.)
Step 5: Scroll to the bottom of the page and log in using your valid login credentials.
Step 6: Select ‘Yes’ for the option ‘Are you an applicant?’, then choose ‘Ayush Scholarship Scheme’ and ‘2025-26’ from the respective dropdown menus.
Step 7: Enter the captcha code and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 8: Complete the application form by providing the required details, uploading the necessary documents, and finally submitting the application.
The last date to submit the application is 15th May 2026.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic merit and fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility requirements.
Important Terms and Conditions
Requests for change of course after selection will not be entertained.
Selected candidates must accept or decline the admission offer within 15 days of receiving the notification.
Applicants are required to select and rank five institutions in order of preference while filling out the application form. If seats are unavailable in a preferred institution, the Ministry of AYUSH may allot another available institution.
Candidates will be responsible for expenses related to laboratory work, chemicals, and other incidental charges.
Reimbursement of allowances will be processed only within the current financial year. Claims related to previous financial years will not be accepted.
