The CFO will support the Board and Management in strategic financial decision-making while ensuring sound financial governance, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The role includes overseeing accounting, audits (including C&AG audit), MIS, treasury operations, project finance, foreign currency transactions, consortium banking, ERP/SAP systems, company secretarial coordination, trading and logistics, taxation, and internal controls. Responsibilities also include reviewing financial proposals, Board and Committee agendas/resolutions, and implementing process improvements. Candidates must have extensive experience in corporate finance and accounts, including at least 2 years in a senior management position such as General Manager (Finance), Finance Head, or Department Head (Finance), preferably in a large manufacturing, process, fertilizer (especially natural gas-based ammonia and urea plants), petrochemical, or refinery organization. Experience in managing finances for large-scale projects, governance, compliance, and liaison with government/regulatory agencies is desirable. Exposure to fertilizer industry operations, subsidy mechanisms, and government interfaces will be an added advantage. Articleship and partnership experience will not be considered.

Physical Fitness

Candidates selected for the post will be appointed only after being declared medically fit. The medical examination will be conducted in accordance with AVFCCL’s prescribed Medical Fitness Standards and Rules applicable to the respective post. Only candidates who meet the required medical fitness criteria will be eligible for final appointment.
