Bharti Airtel Scholarship 2026-27, Introduced by the Bharti Airtel Foundation in 2024, Introduced by the Bharti Airtel Foundation in 2024, the Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program was created to empower talented students from economically diverse backgrounds, with a special focus on encouraging greater participation of women in technology and engineering fields. The scholarship follows a merit-cum-means approach and is available to students enrolling in the first year of undergraduate engineering programs or integrated five-year technology courses at the top 50 engineering institutions ranked under the latest NIRF rankings. Selected candidates are recognized as Bharti Scholars and receive comprehensive financial assistance to help them pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.

The scholarship is fully funded and covers 100% of academic expenses, including tuition fees, hostel charges, and mess fees. In addition, every Bharti Scholar is provided with a laptop during the first year of study, ensuring access to essential digital learning resources. The program is designed to enable students to focus entirely on their education and professional development.

During the 2025–26 academic session, 500 students were selected under the Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program, including 134 girl students, accounting for 26.8% of the total scholars supported.

About Bharti Airtel Foundation

The Bharti Airtel Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises and works towards strengthening India’s education landscape through large-scale, sustainable initiatives. Over the last two decades, the Foundation has developed a comprehensive approach that includes rural school education, government school transformation, teacher capacity building, and support for higher education opportunities.

Beyond covering tuition, hostel, and mess expenses, the program also provides laptops to scholars. Currently, the Foundation supports over 1,400 scholars, of whom 42% are women, while also partnering with leading higher education institutions across India to expand access to quality education.

Bharti Airtel Scholarship 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible for the Bharti Airtel Scholarship 2026-27:

Must have secured admission or be enrolled in the first year (Academic Session 2026-27) of an undergraduate engineering program or a 5-year integrated technology course.
Eligible disciplines include Electronics & Communication, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, and emerging technology fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Machine Learning, and Robotics.
Admission must be taken in one of the top 50 NIRF-ranked engineering institutes or universities as per the NIRF 2025 rankings.
The applicant must be an Indian citizen and resident of India.
The combined annual income of parents/guardian from all sources should not exceed ₹8 lakh.

Preference will be given to:

Girl students
Students with disabilities
Orphaned students or those from single-parent families
Transgender students

Important: Candidates already receiving another scholarship or financial grant for the same educational expenses are not eligible to apply.

Scholarship Benefits for Bharti Airtel Scholarship 2026-27

The Bharti Airtel Scholarship offers comprehensive financial support to selected scholars, including:

Coverage of 100% annual academic fees as per the approved fee structure of the institution.
Financial assistance for the entire duration of the course, including integrated programs, for up to five years subject to renewal requirements.
Hostel and mess fee support for eligible students.
Reimbursement of PG or rented accommodation expenses up to the institute’s hostel and mess charges or actual expenses, whichever is lower.
A complimentary laptop provided during the first year of study to support academic learning.
Access to a fully funded educational experience that minimizes financial barriers and enables students to focus on their studies.

In addition, scholars are encouraged to contribute to society after graduation by supporting the education of at least one student during their professional life. They are also encouraged to promote environmental sustainability by planting and nurturing a minimum of five trees every year while receiving the scholarship.

Important Conditions for Bharti Airtel Scholarship 2026-27

Expenses such as counselling fees (including JoSAA charges), library fees, refundable security deposits, internet charges, laundry costs, damage recovery charges, and other miscellaneous expenses must be borne by the student.
Providing false information or submitting fraudulent documents may result in rejection or cancellation of the scholarship. In such cases, the Foundation may also seek reimbursement of funds already disbursed, including the return of the laptop provided.
