CAT 2025 exam Application Process
To make the process clear we have collectivized few points for you guys, through which one can go about filling the application form easily and hassle free.
- As soon as the release of notification the application form will be open for registration on the official CAT website (https://iimcat.ac.in/).
- The application form registration will start from the 1st week of August 2025 to 4th week of September 2025.
- Candidates have to register in the link provided on the official website by creating a User Name and Password for login. Even so, this login credentials will used in future for download of admit card, result etc.
- Notification and information related to the exam will be sent to the E-mail ID and registered phone number from time to time.
- CAT has provision of image correction which will be available till the last week of September 2025.
- The steps involved in the application process are 1. Online Registration, 2. Filling of details, 3. Photograph and Signature upload, 4. Application fee payment.
- For future reference candidates must keep a copy of form submitted confirmation page.

CAT 2025 EXAM Pattern
The most important factor to prepare for any entrance exam is to first know about the exam pattern such as mode of paper, language, Types of questions asked etc. To be acquainted, with

- The exam will be conducted through online computer based test (CBT)
- The total exam duration is of only 3 hours which is 180 Minutes.
- The question will be asked in both Subjective as well as Objective types in the entrance exam.
- The CAT entrance will be organized in more than 150 cities across the country and the name of the cities will be mentioned on the Hall Ticket and the official portal.
- The marking scheme consists of +3 marks will be allotted for each correct answer.
- One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in the Objective type section. There will be no negative marking scheme in the subjective type question sets.

CAT 2025 Exam Preparation tips
A strategically solid planning is very important for any entrance exam preparation, preparing well in advance gives an edge to the candidate and they feel more confident. From our side we would like to give away some useful tips that could help student to prepare for entrance exam like a boss.

CAT 2025 Exam Admit Card
The admit card will be available online by the fourth week of October 2025. It will have the details like roll number, name of candidate and allotted examination centre for the entrance exam.
If any student will find any discrepancy on the data shown on the admit card should right away consult the CAT 2025 examination authority so that necessary changes can be done on time.
For admission into the examination all students have to get their admit card checked so it is very important to carry the admit card during the examination. Also a government authorized ID proof should also be carried during the examination.
CAT 2025 Exam Answer Key
The CAT 2025 entrance exam answer key will be published by the second week of December 2025 on its online portal by the officials.
The first release of answer key will be on provisional basis as students can make challenges against the released answer key.
For very challenge question the candidate have to pay a fee of Rs.1200 as processing fee. This is refundable only the candidates challenge is a win.
Post the challenges of questions are complete a final answer key will be published.
CAT 2025 Exam Result
The CAT 2025 entrance exam will published around last week of January 2025. The results can only be obtained through signing into the official website by using the same login credentials created at the time of registration.
The CAT 2025 entrance exam result will comprise of overall scaled percentile and the detailed section. Students are requested to take the print out of the Scorecard for use in further admission process.
CAT 2025 Normalization Procedure
CAT 2025 entrance test is conducted into two sessions. The two session examination will help the CAT authorities to ensure the equity in the comparison of the performance of the candidates for the CAT Normalization Procedure.
The same formula as GATE is applicable for CAT Normalization Procedure. The result will be declared along with the scaled score on each session of the CAT.
CAT 2025 Exam Cut Off
The cut off for each IIM will differ which depends upon category of the candidate appeared in the exam.

CAT 2025 Admission Process
The admission process in CAT is very different as there is no provision of centralized counseling in the IIMS.
The IIMs release their individual cut off after which a group discussion, personal interview and written ability test is conducted.
Only after which, based on the eligibility criteria of the particular IIM the admission is given to the CAT aspirant. The score card of the CAT 2025 examination will also play a crucial role in the admission.
