About GATE 2025 EXAM

GATE  2025 EXAM: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) is one of the popular national level entrance test of India for admission in Post graduation level engineering courses in any of the prestigious institutes in India like IITs, NITs, GFITs, IIITs and STIs.

The GATE entrance exam is a joint venture of Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore with collaboration of any one of the IIT in India. The governing body for this exam is also the MHRD, Government of India, NCB-GATE, and Department of Higher Education.

The entrance test is the pre-requisite for admission in Master’s Level Program, M. Tech Programs, Architecture and Doctoral degree programs. The GATE entrance exam score card is also utilized in the Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) jobs hiring process.

GATE 2025 EXAM Application Form

 

Applicants should read the below application process for GATE 2025 exam as it will help them in correct form filling.

 

  • Students shall register and fill the application form via onlinemode at GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). https://iisc.ac.in/
  • The GATE 2025 application form will be started online from fourth week of August 2024.
  • Applicants are requested to upload the certificates/ documents, etc. in online mode only.
  • The application form can be filled till second week of October 2024.
  • With regard to the photograph, signature, certificate of qualifying degree, category certificate (SC/ST/PwD) and/or Dyslexic certificate, wherever applicable, must be uploaded during the online application.
  • Students can appear only in one paper.
  • The applicant cannot sendany hard copy of application form/documents etc. to the conducting institution or any of the zonal GATE offices.

GATE 2025 Exam Application Form Correction

As far as the correction in the form is required following guidelines is to be followed.

  • Only the official authority is eligible for the correction which is facilitated through online  The correction will be provided in few fields only.
  • The deadline for the form correction is third week of November 2024 after which the request for correction will not be accepted. Candidates should rectify the defects in the application before the deadline.
  • Failing to correct the flaws within the set time can lead to the rejection of the application and no further communication will be entertained in this regard.

Marking pattern or Bifurcation of marks in GATE entrance exam

  • General Aptitude: 15% of total marks
  • Engineering Mathematics*: 15% of total marks Subject
  • Paper or Discipline opted for by candidate: 70% of total marks

Engineering Mathematics would not be a part of the GATE 2025 for some of the disciplines.

  • PH: Physics
  • AR: Architecture and Planning
  • GG: Geology and Geophysics
  • ST: Statistics

The above disciplines have 85% for the core subjects while the 15% marks are allotted for General Aptitude portion.

 

 Note: There will be NO negative marking for a wrong answer in NAT questions.

 

GATE 2025 EXAM Syllabus

The GATE 2025 exam syllabus will be equivalent to the syllabus at the graduation level. General aptitude portion of the entrance exam is same for all the 25 papers that make the 15% of the paper. Whereas for some branches of engineering mathematics will be a compulsory section.

GATE 2025 Exam Admit Card

The GATE 2025 admits card would be available through online mode on GOAPS website. It is the responsibility of the student to carry the printout of the admit card.

The admit card for the entrance exam will be available from the second week of January 2025 which could be downloaded from the website.

Students are requested to come with a photo identify proof on time to the examination venue.

 

GATE 2025 Answer Key

Post the examination the answer key will be released which is the candidate’s response. The answer key will be available on GOAPS website.

Use the login credentials to check the answer key displayed on the GATE website. For any related queries to the answer key should be submitted with due fee payment.

After all this process the examination papers will be finalized and score will be released.

GATE 2025 Exam Result

The much awaited Gate 2025 exam result will be released by the GATE official authority by 3rd week of March 2025. The result shall be available on the GATE 2025 website.

Candidates can get the result by entering their login credentials. It will show the qualifying status of the candidate. It is essential to keep the result till the admission process gets over.

 

GATE 2025 Exam Score Card

The GATE score card will display the relative performance of the candidate on a particular subject. The validity of the GATE score card is for 3 years from the date of declaration of the result.

The GATE 2025 scorecards can be downloaded between third weeks of March to last week of May 2025.

Candidates interested in soft copy of the GATE score card have to pay an INR Rs. 500 after the last week of May 2025.

 

GATE 2025 Exam Cut Off

GATE 2025 Exam Counseling

The process of centralized admission into post graduate programs will initiate from the second week of May 2025. For participation in the counseling process students should have to pay the counseling registration fee online.

The centralized counseling process will organized by the CCMT 2025 for admission in M. tech/M.Arch/M.Plan. Last three years score card are valid for admission in all universities and colleges

The counseling process is comprised of three stages that is online Registration, Choice Filling and Locking of Choices, Online Seat Allotment, Seat Acceptance fee deposit and Physical Reporting at a Reporting Center (RC) and Getting Admitted to Allotted Institute.

 

GATE 2025 Exam Admission

Post the successful completion of the counseling session the candidates will be offered a Provisional Admission Letter (PAL). To ensure the admission the students have to physically appear in the institute for admission.

Before admission the students have to complete balance admission fee and have to report with all the documents required by the institute along with the letter of Provisional Admission Letter (PAL)
