The Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) are established in the various districts of the state in order to train interested students for various vocational trade crafts that can land them jobs easily. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship the Directorate of Employment and Training (DGET) looks after all the ITI across Indian states.
The aim of the ITI is to provide skilled technical training to candidates interested in various engineering and non-engineering trades which after the successful completion even assist them to get a government job. The admission is provided in to the ITI courses by two ways
- On the basis of previous qualifying marks obtained in the exams.
- On the basis of entrance exam.
