HAL is recognized as one of India’s foremost aerospace and defence organizations, operating an extensive network of production units, service divisions, and research centers across the country. The Koraput Division of HAL is particularly notable for its role in manufacturing and overhauling aero engines used in MiG and Sukhoi fighter aircraft, making it one of the few such facilities in the world. Through its Training & Development Institute, the division is inviting applications from eligible ITI-qualified candidates for apprenticeship training under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). - Candidates must have passed regular and full-time 10th/HSC/SSC along with ITI under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) in the relevant trade from a recognized institute located in Odisha only.
- Applicants who have already undergone, are currently undergoing, or have registered for apprenticeship training under NAPS with any other organization are not eligible.
- Candidates having one year or more of work experience are not eligible to apply.
- The upper age limit is 23 years as on 30 June 2026 for General category candidates.
- Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- OBC Candidates: 3 years
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
- PwD Candidates: 10 years

- Candidates must register as a “Candidate” on the NAPS portal at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ and ensure their profile is completed 100%.
- The candidate’s name, gender, and date of birth in the NAPS portal must exactly match the details mentioned in the 10th/HSC/SSC certificate.
- In case of any discrepancy, candidates must first update their Aadhaar details and then complete the Re-KYC process on the NAPS portal before applying.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
- Completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment with HAL, and the apprenticeship contract will automatically end after the training period.
Stipend & Benefits
- Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,600 or ₹10,560 depending on the trade, as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
- Apprentices can avail subsidized lunch facilities within the factory premises on working days.
- Hostel accommodation may be provided to selected candidates, subject to availability.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on academic performance in qualifying examinations.
- The merit list will be prepared by assigning:
- 70% weightage to 10th class marks.
- 30% weightage to ITI marks.
- Reservation benefits will be provided as per the Apprenticeship Act and Government guidelines.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email for document verification and joining formalities.
- Any form of canvassing will lead to immediate disqualification.
