Qualification & Experience

Candidates applying for the post should fulfill the following qualification and experience requirements:

Educational Qualification & Professional Experience

Applicants must possess a Graduate Degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation stream.
Candidates should have a minimum of 20 years of experience in a power generation company or a Public Sector Undertaking, along with extensive exposure to thermal power generation management.
Out of the total experience, at least 5 years should be at the level of Chief Engineer or an equivalent designation.
Additionally, candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in a position directly below the Board level in a State Electricity Board or as a member of the Board of Directors in a Public Sector Undertaking within the power sector.

Alternative Eligibility

Candidates belonging to the All India Services cadre with a minimum of 15 years of service experience under the Government of Maharashtra are also eligible to apply.

Preferred Qualification

Preference will be given to applicants holding an MBA or an equivalent management degree from a reputed management institute.

Relaxation Clause

The competent selection authority may relax the prescribed qualifications and experience criteria in deserving cases.

Important Note

Candidates who have already served as Functional Director or Whole-time Director in Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd. for a maximum of two terms, including the currently ongoing or remaining tenure, will not be eligible to apply for the post of Director (Fuel).

Compensation

The salary and benefits for the post will be broadly comparable to those offered by similar-sized Public Sector Undertakings. However, the compensation package is negotiable.

For candidates appointed on deputation from Government departments or PSUs, remuneration will be governed as per the deputation rules applicable in such cases.

Duration of Appointment

The appointment will be on a contract or deputation basis for a period of 3 years.
Continuation of the contract will be subject to annual performance review.

Residential Accommodation

Unfurnished residential accommodation may be provided by the company at concessional rent, subject to availability.
If accommodation is not allotted, House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid as per company norms applicable to employees.
