NEET 2021 Exam Application Process

  • The application process for NEET 2021 is completely based on online platform and it is non-negotiable.
  • Each candidate is allowed to fill in the application form once and multiple submissions could lead to rejection of candidate’s opportunity to appear for the exam.
  • All candidates will be directed to register their personal phone number and E-mail address for all future correspondence about the NEET entrance exam.
  • The steps involved in the application process are 1. Online Registration, 2. Filling of details, 3. Photograph and Signature upload, 4. Application fee payment.
  • NEET provides correction of details if nessacary in a specific time frame. Candidates who think that they need to make correction can again login into the application portal and make changes from third week of January 2021 to last week of January 2021.

NEET 2021 Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to make sure to fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear for the NEET 2021 entrance exam. To learn about eligibility criteria follow through below indicators.

Nationality

·         Candidates who are Indian Nationals/ PIO/ NRIs/ OCI/ Foreign nationals are eligible to apply through NEET for admission in various Medical/ Dental institutions as per the framed regulations.

·         Foreign nationals are required to confirm their eligibility clauses from respective Medical or Dental College of the state.

·         J&K migrants are eligible to apply under the 15% All India Quotas only through self declaration basis.

Qualification

·         Qualifying Exam: Students should have passed 12th level or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.

·         Qualifying Subjects: Students should have passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as mandatory subjects in 12th

·         Qualifying Marks: Candidates in the 10+2 level should have obtained 50% marks taken together in PCB. Those who belong to unreserved/ ST/SC/OBC category should have obtained 40% marks and for PWD candidates, it is 45% marks.

·         Foreign nationals: Students who have been educated abroad and are planning to take admission in medical colleges of India should have passed their 12th level with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology & English subjects with 50% marks recognized by AIU as per MCI regulations.

·         Appearing: Students appearing in the 12th level exams will be also eligible to apply for NEET.

Age Criteria

·         Applicant must have completed 17 years of age during admission or before 31st December of the year of admission.

·         There will be no upper age limit to apply for NEET.

Attempt Limit

·         There is no limit on number of attempts to apply for NEET.

 

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern

The most important factor to prepare for any entrance exam is to first know about it exam pattern such as mode of paper, language, Type questions asked etc. To be acquainted with about NEET 2021 exam pattern follow the below section.

  • The NEET 2021 entrance exam paper will be held in offline mode. Which means it’s a written exam (Pen and paper mode).
  • The Paper will be available in many Indian languages – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Odia, Assamese, Telugu, Urdu and Kannada.
  • Total time duration is 3 hours to complete the whole exam.
  • The exam paper will be designed on objective type of questions.
  • The total number of questioned asked will be 180 questions in total.
  • The NEET entrance exam will be of total 720 marks.
  • For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded, whereas, for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

NEET 2021 Exam Syllabus

The NEET 2021 exam syllabus is recommended by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The exam will comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates can also follow the syllabus for these subjects studied in class 11th and 12th.

NEET 2021 Exam Preparation tips

When it comes to entrance exam preparation, preparing well in advance gives an edge to the candidate and they feel more confident. From our side we would like to present some useful tips that could help student to prepare for entrance exam like a boss.

NEET 2021 Exam Admit Card

The admit card will be available online by the fourth week of March 2021. It will have the details like roll number, name of candidate and allotted examination center for the entrance exam.

The NEET 2021 Admit card can be downloaded from the NTA website with the same login credentials. A PDF copy of the admit card will be sent to the email address of the candidate.

For admission into the examination hall students have to get their admit card checked so it is very important to carry the admit card during the examination.

 

NEET 2021 Answer Key

The NEET entrance exam answer key will be published by the National Testing agency by the second week of May 2021 on its online portal.

The first release of answer key will be on provisional basis as students can make challenges against the released answer key.

For very challenge question the candidate have to pay a fee of Rs.1000 as processing fee. This is refundable only the candidates challenge is a win.

Post the challenges of questions are complete a final answer key will be published.

 

NEET 2021 Exam Cut Off

The NEET 2021 exam cut off is the minimum marks obtained by a candidate to qualify the entrance examination. Also the cut off marks depend on the number of candidate’s appeared for the examination, number seats available in the exam year and level of difficulty of exams.

The expected cut off marks of NEET 2021 according to the past trends a 50% marks for general candidates, 45% marks for PH candidates and 40% for reserved category candidate.

 

NEET 2021 Exam Result

The NEET 2021 entrance exam result will also be available on the official website of the NTA. Candidates have to fill in the roll number and date of birth at the time of login to download their result.

Somewhere around first week of June 2021 the results will be published on the basis of answer key.

Authorities will only display the result on the official website, it is candidate’s responsibility to take the printout and keep it for the use during the admission. NTA will not provide a hard copy of the result.

NEET 2021 Exam Merit List

Post the announcement of the result the NTA as per the directions from the DGHS, DCI and MCI will announce the Merit list for the qualified students.

The admission will be done of the All India Rank basis for admission into MBBS and BDS courses.
