Polytechnic Colleges in Chandigarh Registration Process

Some guidelines are given below for the registration process

  • Applicants are first required to register their profile in the system.
  • This includes getting a Username and password and verifying the mobile number / Email ID.
  • Once the registration is successful, log in with the new Id and password and the admission form will be made available for your profile.
  • Fill out the form diligently and accurately. Applicants must also upload their passport-sized photos and signature in the format asked.
  • The applicants must then submit the form. The form will be accepted completely once an online registration fee is paid via the payment options available.

Application Fees

  • The application fee is similar for all categories of applicants.
  • Applicants are instructed to pay Rs 500/- as an application fee for the entrance exam.
  • Applicants are instructed to pay the application fee by debit card, credit card, or net banking.

 

Polytechnic Colleges in Chandigarh Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to fulfill eligibility criteria if they want to secure admission in a good polytechnic college in Chandigarh. Checkout some essential norms for admission below.

  • The applicant must be a domicile of Chandigarh.
  • The minimum age limit for getting admission to polytechnic courses is 15 years.
  • The applicant must have completed 10th from any recognized board of education with Mathematics, Science, and English subjects as compulsory subjects.
  • For admission into Diploma Engineering Courses (Lateral Entry): Candidate must have passed 10+2 Science from Board Recognised by Central/State Government with Vocational/ Technical Subjects OR 10th from a Board recognized by Central/ State Government with 2 years ITI with specialization for admission to second-year Diploma courses.
  • For two-year Diploma Course in Pharmacy: The candidate must have passed the Intermediate examination in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics OR Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Candidates must have attained the age of 16 years on or before 31 December of the year of admission to the Pharmacy Course.
  • Three-year Diploma Course in Modern Office Practice: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with or without Science.

 

Polytechnic Colleges in Chandigarh counseling process

For the sake of selection process candidates have to go through counseling process and one has to be prepared.

  • The counseling process registration will commence and conclude on specific dates determined by the counseling body. Prior to the deadline, applicants must complete their registration, submit the registration fees, and indicate their preferred colleges in order of priority.
  • Following the registration phase, an allotment process is conducted, where students are assigned to the college of their highest preference based on factors such as the college cut-off, applicants’ scores, and seat availability.
  • Typically, the allotment is carried out through an online counseling system. Once students are selected, they are generally required to report to their assigned college within the following week or as per the designated dates.
  • In the event that students are dissatisfied with their allotment, they have the option to participate in Round 2 by registering again.
