Introduction: Polytechnic Colleges in Tripura, in general are like any other Polytechnic college that offers diploma or vocational course majorly focusing on technical education. That said, Polytechnic program are aggressive program that are by and large are for three years and after a successful completion a candidate must obtain a certificate. Nearly all branches of engineering are focused in the Polytechnic institute for instance mechanical, electrical, civil, and others in the same stream of branches diploma is provided on the successful completion of the program. To suffice the market demand to produce professionals, increase in admissions into polytechnic courses have been observed, now Polytechnic offers similar course like B.Tech and B.E only difference is that in a Polytechnic college the institute offers a diploma, however, in other engineering colleges a student is offered a degree after the completion of the course.

Polytechnic Colleges in Tripura Registration Process

The application process for both TJEE and DEEET is online. There is no offline mode of registration. The detailed steps for registration are given below.

  • Registration for TJEE opens in the month of February. Candidates were required to submit the duly filled application form on or before February.
  • Registration for DEEET opens in the month of March. Candidates were required to submit the duly filled application form on or before in the month of April.
  • Registration for DEEET reopened in the last week of July and closes in the month of August.

How to apply

  • The application form for TJEE is available on the official TJEE website.
  • The application form for DEEET is available on the Diploma Engineering Entrance Examination of Tripura website.
  • Candidates can submit only one application. Multiple applications may lead to the rejection of the candidate.
  • Candidates require a unique Mobile Number, Email ID, and password to create a portal.
  • Candidates should fill up the profile details such as names, academic qualifications, addresses, and other information accurately.
  • For DEEET, candidates need to upload their photographs and signature in the prescribed format.
  • For TJEE, candidates need to upload their photographs, signature, caste certificate (if required), ration card (for BPL students), and DDRC certificate (for PWD students) in the prescribed format.
  • Candidates need to pay the required application fee.
  • Retain the payment receipt and completed application form for further reference.

 

 

 

The application fee for TJEE is as follows:
  • General Male candidate- INR 550
  • SC/ST Male candidate- INR 450
  • Female and BPL candidates- INR 350

The application fee for DEEET is as follows:

  • General/SC/ST candidates- INR 350
  • BPL candidates- INR 200

Documents required for registration for DEEET:

  • Passport size photographs
  • Scanned copies of signature (if applying online)

Polytechnic Colleges in Tripura Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria put up by the Directorate of Higher Education for the respective examinations they wish to appear for. The detailed eligibility criteria are listed below:

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura or must be staying in Tripura for not less than 10 years prior to the filing of the application. Exceptions can be made if the candidates are wards of ex-servicemen or defense personnel.
  • There is no upper age limit for either of the examinations as per AICTE norms.
  • Candidates applying for DEEET need to qualify for Class 10th or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 35% aggregate in the compulsory subjects. No round-off will be considered.
  • Candidates applying for TJEE need to qualify for Senior Secondary examinations from a recognized board in the relevant subjects (PCM/PCB) in which they will opt to appear.
  • Candidates who are appearing for their final examinations are eligible to apply for both entrance examinations.
