Eligibility for Science Academies Summer Research Fellowship Program 2026
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
For Students
They should be enrolled in any of the following programs:
- BS/BSc — 2nd year only
- BSc (Research) — 3rd year only
- BStat/BMath — 2nd year only
- BPharm — 3rd and 4th years only
- BE/BTech/BCA — 2nd and 3rd years only
- BArch — 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years only
- MS/MSc/MVSc/MPharm — 1st year only
- ME/MTech/MCA/MArch — 1st year only
- MStat/MMath — 1st year only
- 5-year integrated MS/MSc/MTech/MBBS/BVSc — 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years only
- PharmD — 3rd and 4th years only
- Dual degree (BTech + MTech) — 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years only
- Dual degree (BE + MSc) — 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years only
- Dual degree (BS + MS) — 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years only
- Integrated PhD — 1st and 2nd years only
- MSc Tech — 1st and 2nd years only
In addition:
- Candidates must have at least 65% average marks in core subjects (excluding languages) from Class 10 onwards up to their current level of study.
For Teachers
- Applicants must be teaching at a recognized college or university.
Note: PhD students are not eligible for this fellowship.

Documents Required for Science Academies Summer Research Fellowship Program 2026
Applicants must upload the following:
- Mark sheets from Class 10 onward up to the latest examination (JPEG format, max 700 KB each)
- Contact details of a current teacher (for student applicants)
- A project proposal (about 250 words)
- A short write-up on research interests (150–250 words)
- Details of publications, if any (for teacher applicants)
- Authorization letter from Principal/HoD (for selected teacher applicants — to be sent by post later)
Important Notes
- Both students and teachers must upload scanned mark sheets in JPEG format (each file not exceeding 700 KB).
- Student applicants must provide the email ID of a teacher who knows their academic work. The Academy will contact them directly for a recommendation letter in the prescribed format.
