Introduction: University of Kashmir Distance Education Courses is the most prominent university in the valley, established to cater the need of the students in the valley the university was founded in the year 1948 as public state university located in the western side of the Dal Lake in Srinagar, India. Nonetheless the university has three campuses located and called as Hazratbal Campus, Naseem Bagh and Mirza Bagh campus. As a prestigious university the institution offers programs like undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programs. Besides regular programs the university also offers course in Business Management, Information Technology, Medicine, Engineering, Liberal arts, dentistry and music. Blessed with accreditation like A+ ratings from NAAC in the year 2019 the university is UGC recognized.
To elaborate and provide the best of education the institution expanded into new horizons and established the University Of Kashmir Directorate Of Distance Education in the year 1976 to target those individuals who are left behind from regular education with reasons such as geographical distance, socio-economic issues or work commitment. Among these are also students who are college drop outs, wants to get a college degree to become skilled and become employment ready.

University of Kashmir Distance Education Courses Admission Process
Below are the steps that students can follow to get admission in the University of Kashmir Distance Education Program.
- Visit the official website of DDE, Kashmir University and click on the Application Form link.
- Read the instructions carefully and then proceed to register by providing email id and mobile number.
- Candidates need to login using the username and password credentials sent on the registered email
- After filling the academic details, select the course.
- When the application form is filled, candidates need to make payment for application fee.
- Candidates can pay application fee online through payment gateway, or offline by selecting pay in slip mode.
- Candidates opting for offline fee payment can pay the fee at any Finnacle branch of J&K Bank Ltd.
