Eligibility
Application Deadline: 30 October 2026
To be eligible for the Winnie Sun Scholarship 2026–27, an applicant must:
Be a citizen of India.
Be a female student.
Have secured admission to an MBBS course in the academic year 2026–27. Only students admitted during FY 2026–27 are eligible to apply.
Have completed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 70% marks. For students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories, the minimum requirement is 60% marks.
Students who have appeared for Class 12 from a recognized state or central board may also apply, but the Class 12 marksheet must be submitted at the time of final selection.
Belong to a family with an annual income below ₹5,00,000.

Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will receive financial assistance of up to ₹65,000 per year for up to 5 years of MBBS study.
The scholarship support can help cover expenses such as:
Tuition and educational fees
Living expenses
Books and study materials
Other eligible academic expenses
The education expenses will be paid directly to the institution after submission and verification of the required documents. The remaining eligible amount will be provided as an imprest, with monthly reimbursements made against submitted bills.
Documents Required
Applicants should keep scanned copies of the following documents ready before starting the online application:
Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets/academic records
Aadhaar Card
Recent photograph
Entrance examination admit card or result
Admission confirmation letter or fee-payment receipt from the college
Valid income proof
For income-tax payers: last three months’ salary slips, previous year’s IT assessment, or salary certificate from the employer
For non-income-tax payers: income certificate issued by the Zila Parishad, Block, Tehsildar, or local government authority, or a signed affidavit
At the time of the interview/counselling, students must present the original copies of all submitted documents.
Note: Qualifying for the Personal Interview round is mandatory for all courses.

After successful registration, complete the application form and upload all the required documents.
After submitting the application, applicants can track the progress of their application online through the website.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected through a multi-stage process that includes:
Document and eligibility verification to confirm that applicants meet the scholarship requirements.
Interview with the applicant and their parent/guardian, which may be conducted either physically or virtually.
Final selection based on eligibility, ranking, background verification, and interview performance.
Scholarship disbursement will be made in accordance with the fee schedule of the respective college.
Note: The scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the selection board. The decision of the selection board will be final and binding on all applicants.
Terms and Conditions
Submitting an application does not guarantee that the applicant will receive the scholarship.
Applicants should carefully review the scholarship application form and verify that all information provided is accurate and complete before submitting it.
If any discrepancy is identified in the submitted documents, the application may be rejected. During virtual counselling, applicants may also be required to present the original documents for verification when the scholarship is handed over.
The college admission letter must be submitted before the scholarship is disbursed. Failure to provide the admission letter within the stipulated time may result in cancellation of the application.
