To be eligible, applicants must:-

be a resident of India
have secured an offer for a full-time postgraduate programme at the UK campus of the University of Birmingham for September 2026 intake
fulfil all academic conditions mentioned in the admission offer
be classified as an overseas fee-paying student by the university
be able to pay the remaining tuition fees not covered by the scholarship
submit the tuition fee deposit and balance amount within the specified deadlines
have adequate financial resources to manage living and other study-related expenses in the UK

Note: The scholarship is available only for taught master’s programmes and does not cover the following courses:-

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
Master of Engineering
Master in Science
Master of Pharmacy (MPharm)
Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.)
Master of Research (MRes)
Master of Music (MM or MMus)
Master of Letters (M.Litt.)
Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip)
Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert)

Application Process

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-

Selection Process

Selection will be based on academic merit and fulfilment of the eligibility requirements.

Note: In exceptional cases where candidates cannot be shortlisted solely on academic performance, the university may conduct an online interview as an additional evaluation step.

Terms and Conditions

Applicants must arrange sufficient funds for accommodation, living expenses, visa costs, and travel expenses in the UK.
Tuition fees for the first academic year must be paid by 1 November after the programme begins in September.
Scholarships remain valid only if students continue their enrolled programme. Students who withdraw may lose the scholarship and may also need to pay pending tuition fees.
Students who defer admission to another academic year will not be eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship is not applicable to programmes offered entirely through distance learning mode.
Scholarship recipients may be asked to support university promotional activities, including testimonials, student stories, and ambassadorial responsibilities.
