  • The program selects outstanding students through a rigorous and competitive merit-based process.

Application and Selection Process

Students must first register on the Reliance Foundation scholarship website to begin their application.

After registration, applicants must complete and submit the online application through the Application Portal. The application includes:

  • Personal, academic and extracurricular details
  • Academic or professional information
  • Two letters of reference — one addressing academic capabilities and another addressing character and leadership qualities

  1. Aptitude Test

All applicants must take the mandatory online aptitude test.

The scholarship is open to first-year postgraduate students enrolled full-time in eligible degree programs in areas such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a resident Indian citizen.
  • Must be a first-year postgraduate student enrolled in an eligible full-time degree program.
  • Applicants must meet either of the following academic criteria:
    • Have secured a GATE score between 550 and 1,000, or
    • Have obtained an undergraduate CGPA of 7.5 or above, or the equivalent percentage normalized to CGPA.
  • The postgraduate program must fall within the eligible disciplines and programs specified by Reliance Foundation.
Who Cannot Apply?

The following students are not eligible:

  • Students currently studying in the second year of their postgraduate program.
  • Students pursuing their degree through online, remote, distance, hybrid, part-time or other non-regular modes.
  • Students pursuing only Mathematics; Mathematics & Computing is the eligible program.
  • Students who fail to appear for the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test.
