Selection Process
The selection process for the post will consist of a Written Test/Computer-Based Test (CBT) carrying 80% weightage and an Interview carrying 20% weightage. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in both stages, with 60% as the minimum qualifying score.
The venue, date, and time of the Written Test/CBT will be notified on the NCRTC website in advance. Requests for any change in the date or venue of the Written Test/CBT or Interview will not be entertained. Candidates will attend the test at the allotted centre at their own risk and expense, and no TA/DA will be provided. NCRTC will not be responsible for any injury, loss, or other incident arising during the candidate’s travel or attendance at the test.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview category-wise in a 1:5 ratio based on merit. Before the Interview, shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and must produce their original certificates/documents. Failure to produce the required originals will result in the candidate not being permitted to appear for the Interview.
How to Apply
Candidates must apply online through the NCRTC website under the Careers section, after carefully reviewing the eligibility criteria and application instructions. Applicants should have a valid personal email ID and mobile number and keep them active throughout the recruitment process. A recent self-attested passport-size colour photograph and scanned signature, in the prescribed format and file size, must also be kept ready.
The online application must be supported by self-attested copies of the required documents, including the 10th/Birth Certificate, Graduation Degree, appointment and joining documents, salary slip, experience and duty allocation certificates, last three years’ APARs, promotion orders, previous employment/service and relieving certificates, Form-16/ITR, last six months’ bank statement, and last 12 months’ salary slips. Applications submitted without the required supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
After submitting the online application, candidates must download and print the system-generated Application Form bearing the Unique Registration Number, attach the supporting documents, and send the complete set by hand or post to the prescribed address by 23 October 2026. The envelope must be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT MANAGER/OPERATIONS ON DIRECT RECRUITMENT BASIS – 36/2026”.
