Indian Institute of Technology Indore Recruitment 2025 for Physical Training Instructor, (IIT) Indore, recognized as an Institute of National Importance, is among the second-generation IITs established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Institute’s Hostel Coordination Unit (HCU) oversees a wide range of activities, including hostel management, sports, and dining facilities, catering to the needs of approximately 3,000 on-campus students.
IIT Indore invites applications from Indian nationals with outstanding academic credentials and relevant professional experience for the position of Physical Training Instructor in the Hostel Coordination Unit. The appointment will be on a contractual basis.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

Master’s in Physical Education or equivalent with 1 year experience or Bachelor’s in Physical Education or equivalent with 2 years of experience.
(b) Desirable Qualifications:
NIS Coaching diploma holders/NIS six-week certificate holders, medal winners in
Inter-University /National games/proficiency in more than one game will be given preference.
(c) Desired Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent communication, strong interpersonal and organizational skills and time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and should have passion for sports and fitness.
- The ability to engage and motivate students to participate in sports activities.
Upper Age Limit:
- 40 years as on the last day of application mentioned in the advertisement.
Salary/ Remuneration:
- ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 consolidated per month.
Period of Engagement:
01 year (Extendable for a period as decided by the Institute, depending on the performance of the selected candidate, requirements of HCU (Sports), and feedback of concerned HCU/Sports authorities)

The candidates are required to attach their CV along with the Application Form. Filling out the Application Form is mandatory for the consideration of candidature.
- All qualifications should have been acquired from Universities/ Institutes/ Boards/ Councils etc. recognized by appropriate Statutory Authorities. Relevant education certificates should be attached along with the application form.
- The experience certificate should be on the letterhead of the Company/ Institute/ Organization and should mention the details of post, pay, duration of employment, and nature of the job performing / performed.
- The requirements of minimum qualification, experience, and/or age may be relaxed in the case of candidates with outstanding credentials/skills, at the discretion of the HCU (Sports).
- The candidature of the applicant shall be subject to verification of original testimonials at the time of the interview. In case the candidate fails to submit the required supporting documents as mentioned in the CV/ application form, his / her candidature may not be considered for the interview.
- The selected candidate, on appointment, shall be entitled for leave as per Institute / HCU (Sports) rules for contractual staff.
- The appointment is not regular employment and does not entitle any claim privileges or benefits of regular employment.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process which includes a Skill Test/Trade Test, and/or Personality Test / Interview.
- Information about the shortlisted candidates and dates of the Selection Test will be provided through the email mentioned in the application form.
- In case the information furnished by the candidate in any part is found to be false or incomplete or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement, the candidature/ engagement will be considered revoked / terminated.
