Educational Qualification and Experience
Zonal Security Officer
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Preference may be given to applicants with relevant professional experience and expertise in security management.
Experience Requirement:
Applicants should have served in the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) or an equivalent position in the Police, Armed Forces, or Paramilitary Services. They must have an outstanding service record and should have completed at least three years of service at the rank of DSP or its equivalent.
Financial Literacy (FL) Counsellor
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should be graduates with experience in the banking sector or related fields. They should possess a sound understanding of areas such as banking operations, finance, legal matters, agriculture, and allied activities.
Experience and Skills:
Applicants for the FL Counsellor position should meet the following requirements:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
Proficiency in the local language is mandatory.
Basic working knowledge of computer applications.
Experience in conducting Financial Literacy Camps or similar awareness programmes will be considered an added advantage.
Preference will be given to honourably retired J&K Bank officers who held a position not below Senior Manager (Scale-III Cadre).

Zonal Security Officer
Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹45,000. In addition, Travelling Allowance (TA) and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be admissible for official tours and field visits undertaken as part of the assignment.
No retirement-related benefits such as Pension, Provident Fund (PF), or Gratuity will be provided under the contractual engagement. Similarly, no additional allowances, perks, or facilities will be payable. Applicable taxes will be deducted at source in accordance with prevailing government regulations.
Financial Literacy (FL) Counsellor
Candidates appointed as FL Counsellors will be paid a monthly remuneration of ₹22,000. Besides the fixed salary, they will also be entitled to:
Monthly conveyance allowance
Mobile/telephone expense reimbursement
Performance-linked incentives as per bank norms

For FL Counsellors, the age limit of 65 years must also be satisfied on the first day of the calendar year in which the contract is proposed to be renewed.
Contract Period
Zonal Security Officer
The appointment will be purely contractual for a period of three years, subject to satisfactory annual performance reviews. The engagement will automatically conclude upon completion of the three-year term, and no extension or renewal will be granted thereafter.
Financial Literacy (FL) Counsellor
The initial contract will be valid for 12 months from the date of joining. Based on annual performance appraisal and review, the contract may be renewed periodically for a maximum total duration of three years.
If either the bank or the selected candidate wishes to terminate the contract before completion, one month’s notice or payment of equivalent remuneration in lieu of notice will be required.
Selection Process
Zonal Security Officer
Applications will first be scrutinized based on educational qualifications, professional experience, and overall suitability for the role. Candidates shortlisted during the screening stage will be invited for an Interview/Interaction to evaluate their knowledge, expertise, and relevant skills.
Financial Literacy (FL) Counsellor
Applications will be screened and shortlisted according to eligibility criteria and relevant work experience. Shortlisted applicants will be called for a Personal Interview, during which the bank will assess:
Communication and presentation skills
Teaching and training capabilities
Ability to conduct financial literacy camps
Knowledge of banking and financial awareness programmes
Relevant professional experience
Candidates may also be required to deliver a presentation or practical demonstration to evaluate their instructional abilities and communication effectiveness.
