Introduction: National Institute of Hydrology Roorkee Vacancy 2023 has advertised vacancy for the post and recruitment of Senior Resource Persons, Junior Resource Persons, Project Associate and Hydrology (NIH) invites eligible candidates for the walk in interview for the recruitment of Resource Persons, Project Associate and Research Association on project basis.
The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee is one of the Government of India societies under Ministry of water resources. The main objective of the society is to promote, support, undertake and coordinate systematic and scientific research work in all aspects of Hydrology and water Resources.

Educational Qualification :
Essential : Ph.D. degree in Environmental Sciences/Environmental Engineering/ Chemistry/Hydrology/water Resources with at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed (SCI) Journal
Monthly Emoluments : Rs.47,000/- + HRA
Title of Project : Internal Study titled “Ascertaining the efficacy of use of State of the art technologies for spring mapping and sustainability of springs through suitable interventions ”

Educational Qualification :
Essential: Master Degree in Geology and minimum post qualification experiences of 6 years in the requisite field. Person with higher/additional qualification, research experience, published papers and post qualification experience in the relevant filed would be preferred.
Desirable : Having knowledge of RS & GIS and working in Hilly areas
Post Duration: Initially this post will be for one year. However, duration can be extended up to 03 years or termination of the project whichever is earlier

Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having knowledge of AUTOCAD (for designing & drawing)/Rain Water Harvesting as well as with higher or additional qualifications/research experience/research publications in peer reviewed journals.

Desirable : Experience of analytical work in laboratory
Monthly Emoluments :
(i) Rs.31,000/-p.m + HRA (as applicable) to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
(ii) Rs.25,000/-p.m + HRA (as applicable) for others who do not fall under (i) above

Desirable :Preference will be given to those candidates who are having at least two years experience in handling of IRMS, Gamma spectrometer, Tritium Enrichment, RAD-7 and Ion-Chromatograph
Experience : Candidate should have experience of field sampling related to various isotope and chemistry
Monthly Emoluments : Rs.20,000/- to 40,000/-p.m. + Rs. 1,500/-p.m. as local conveyance

Candidates can directly attend the walk-in-interview on the prescribed date, time at NIH along with complete bio-data, passport size photograph and original proof of qualification and experience.
They must also bring with them self-attested copies of their certificates. Candidate may report in NIH in one hour before Interview time. After starting of Interview, admission in the same will not be allowed.
