Age Limit
UPPER AGE LIMIT POSTWISE:
The Upper Age Limit for General & EWS category candidates shall be as mentioned against each post.
AGE RELAXATION: Upper Age Limit is relaxed by:
- 3 Years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- 5 Years for SC / ST
- Persons with Disabilities candidate:
- By 10 Years for General (UR)
- By 13 Years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- By 15 Years for SC / ST
- 5 Years for the candidates who are the domicile of J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 as per Govt. of India guidelines.
- Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen category candidates is as per extant Govt. of India guidelines.
Application Fee:
- Applicants belonging to the UR / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS categories are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred only). Candidates from SC / ST / PwD / Ex-servicemen categories, as well as internal candidates, are exempted from paying the application fee.

- No other mode of fee payment will be accepted.
Selection Mode:
The selection process will primarily consist of a Personal Interview. However, MECON reserves the right to modify the selection procedure, if deemed necessary, at the discretion of the management.
Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet all the prescribed eligibility criteria. Their candidature will be verified through documents and other details either at the time of the interview (if shortlisted) or at any subsequent stage of the recruitment or appointment process.
Personal Interview:
The list of candidates shortlisted for the Personal Interview, along with the date, time, and venue, will be published on MECON’s official website. The same details will also be shared with shortlisted candidates via their registered email IDs provided during the online application process.
After the interview, the final list of selected candidates will be made available on MECON’s website. Selected candidates will also receive intimation regarding Document Verification and Medical Examination through the MECON website and their registered email IDs only.
