Eligibility Criteria for admission in Medical Colleges in Telangana
Eligibility criteria are the first thing that a candidate must fulfill to get admission in a medical college. Follow the guiding principle below to become aware about the eligibility for admission in the college.
- Candidates must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates should have a pass certificate of 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects.
- Minimum pass aggregate marks in the qualifying exams should be 50% for general students, 45% for general PH students and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
- Candidate should be minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December year of admission and maximum of 25 years of age.
- Candidate must have cleared NEET entrance exam with minimum pass percentile for the admission in any one of the participating medical colleges in Telangana.
What is the admission process in Medical Colleges in Telangana?
- Candidates looking for admission must have a 10+2 pass certificate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects with qualifying marks.
- A valid NEET UG score card with the qualifying cut off marks of the admission year. The candidates should register and apply for admission in to the chosen medical college.

What is NEET exam?
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET (UG), which is a succeeded from All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT). The entrance exam is designed for selection of students for undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in government or private medical colleges.
